Real Madrid won the 2013-14 UEFA Champions League.
This was the Spanish giants’ 10th success in the tournament, known locally as “La Décima”. This was the fifth time the final had featured two teams from the same country, with the Spanish La Liga becoming the first league to be represented by both teams for the second time, after Real Madrid beat Valencia in the 2000 final.
Real Madrid beat city rivals Atlético Madrid 4-1 after extra-time in the final at the Estádio da Luz in Lisbon, Portugal. This was the fifth time the final had been settled in extra-time, with Real Madrid accomplishing this feat first, back in the 1958 final.
