Who won the 2002 World Cup?

Brazil won the 2002 FIFA World Cup.

It was the fifth time the South American nation had won the competition – two more than any other country as of 2002 (Italy and Germany on 3 each).

The tournament was hosted in Asia for the first time, with Japan and South Korea being co-hosts – also the first time the competition had been hosted in more than one country.

Brazil beat Germany 2-0 in the final at the International Stadium Yokohama in Yokohama on 30 June 2002.
