Who won the 1986 Champions League?

Steaua Bucharest won the 1985-86 UEFA Champions League final, then known as the European Cup.

This was the first and only UEFA European competition to date that has been won by a Romanian side.

Steaua Bucharest beat Barcelona in a penalty shootout following a 0-0 draw after extra-time at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán in Seville, Spain. Goalkeeper Helmuth Duckadam saved all four of Barcelona’s spot kick attempts in the shootout.
