Nottingham Forest won the 1978-79 UEFA Champions League, then known as the European Cup.
This was the first time the East Midlands club had won the competition and the third successive season in which an English side had been victorious, after Liverpool had won the two previous seasons.
Nottingham Forest beat Swedish champions Malmö FF 1-0 in the final at the Olympiastadion in Munich, West Germany.
