Who won the 1977 Champions League?

Liverpool won the 1976-77 UEFA Champions League, then known as the European Cup.

This would be the club’s first success in the competition and would start a run of six successive years that an English club would win, three of which were won by the Merseyside club.

Liverpool beat German Bundesliga champions Borussia Mönchengladbach 3-1 in the final at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, Italy.
