Who won the 1973 Champions League?

Ajax won the 1972-73 UEFA Champions League, then known as the European Cup.

This was the third consecutive season that the Dutch giants lifted the trophy and the fourth in which a team from the Netherlands had won, starting with Feyenoord’s success in 1970.

Ajax beat Juventus 1-0 in the final at the Red Star Stadium in Belgrade, Yugoslavia. It was the second successive season that an Italian side had been runners-up, with Internazionale losing to Ajax 12 months earlier.
