Who won the 1966 World Cup?

England won the 1966 FIFA World Cup. This was the third time in the first eight World Cups that the hosts won the tournament.

This edition of the competition saw North Korea become the first Asian nation to participate in a World Cup.

England defeated West Germany 4-2 after extra-time in the final at Wembley Stadium in London, with Sir Geoff Hurst becoming the first and only player to date to score a hat-trick in a World Cup final.
