Who hosted the 2014 World Cup?

Brazil hosted the 2014 FIFA World Cup between 12 June-13 July.

It was the 20th edition of the competition and the second time Brazil had hosted it (after 1950).

Germany won the tournament, beating Argentina 1-0 in the final after extra-time at the Estádio Nacional Mané Garrincha in Brasília on 13 July 2014. This was the fifth time the competition had been hosted in South America, but the first time a nation from this continent had not won.
