Who hosted the 1982 World Cup?

Spain hosted the 1982 FIFA World Cup between 13 June and 11 July 1982.

It was the 12th edition of the tournament and seventh time it had been hosted in Europe. Italy were the winners, defeating West Germany 3-1 in the final at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid on 11 July 1982.
