Who hosted the 1974 World Cup?

West Germany hosted the 1974 FIFA World Cup between 13 June-7 July.

The European nation also won the tournament, beating the Netherlands 2-1 in the final at the Olympiastadion in Munich on 7 July 2974.

This was the 10th edition of the competition and the second time West Germany had won it, having previously won the 1954 edition in Switzerland.
