Real Madrid hold the record for the most victories in Champions League finals.
In fact, since the Spanish giants won the inaugural trophy back in 1956, then known as the European Cup, they have always been the record holders.
Real Madrid won the first five tournaments between 1956-60. This record for successive title wins remains a record today. The Spanish capital club won the European Cup again in 1966. They would then wait 32 years for their next success, in 1998, before lifting the trophy again in 2000 and 2002.
Their 10th success, known locally as “La Décima”, was achieved in 2014. Shortly afterwards they won win the competition in three successive years, between 2016-18.
