What is the record for most goals in a Premier League season?

Manchester City set the record for most goals in a single Premier League season when Pep Guardiola’s side scored 106 goals in their 2017-18 campaign.

Newcastle United’s Andrew Cole scored 34 goals in the 1993-94 season and Blackburn Rovers’ Alan Shearer scored 34 goals in the 1994-95 season. These were both accomplished when there were 22 teams in the Premier League and therefore, 42 games.

Since the Premier League was reduced to 20 teams and 38 games for the 1995-96 season, Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah holds the record by scoring 32 goals in 2017-18.
