Asmir Begovic holds the record for the longest goal scored in football.

The goalkeeper scored from a long kick forward during Stoke City’s 1-1 draw at the Bet365 Stadium against Southampton on 2 November 2013.

As a result, Begovic earned a place in the Guinness World Records book for the longest goal scored in football.

His goal, after 13 seconds, caught the wind and bounced over opposition goalkeeper Artur Boruc and into the Saints’ net. It was measured at 91.9m (301ft 6in).
